According to journalist Peter North, Secondhand Dreamcar<\/strong> is \u201cthe most exciting thing to come out of Edmonton since KD Lang”. This nine-piece group is composed of veteran musicians whose collective contributions have shaped some of the finest jazz and roots projects in Western Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondhand Dreamcar delivers a high-octane blend of blues, funk, folk, and jazz, anchored by a three-piece horn section, the vintage sound of a Hammond organ, and soulful vocals by Dana Wylie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band was recently nominated for a JUNO Award <\/strong>for Blues Album of the Year for their debut record, Answer the Call<\/em>. The group has also earned three nominations at the Canadian Blues Music Awards and saw their debut album land at #6 on CKUA Radio\u2019s Top 100 Albums of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
