Event FAQ
What is the seating like?
There will be bout 8 to 10 tables, each seating 8 people. The rest will be chairs on the floor closest to the stage.
Can we book a table for our group?
Yes. You can book a table by calling Ellen at 780-805-4346. If you’re booking a table, you should have a minimum of 7 people to avoid empty seats.
Is there an extra charge to book a table?
No
How can I pay for silent auction items?
You can pay by etransfer, cheque, or cash. At this time, using a credit card is awkward, but if that changes, we’ll announce it.
Will there be snacks?
There will be Halloween candy (leftovers donated by local supermarkets) and treats. Please have dinner before arriving.
What time should we arrive to get good seats?
Doors open at 5:30. Other than reserved tables, seating is first-come, first-served.
Will there be a bar?
As with all of our shows, the Slave Lake Elks operate a cash bar. The bar opens at 5:30
Is there a dress code?
Not at all. But we encourage you to break out your Christmas sweater or Christmas earrings!
Are kids free?
Kids 5 and under are free. It’s good to book them a seat as we expect to sell out. Free tickets for kids can be booked through all our ticket vendors
As a performer, can I attend the event for free?
As this is a fundraising event, we ask any performers who want to join the audience for the rest of the show to please buy a ticket and ensure they have a seat booked.
Are tickets available at the door?
We expect to sell out, so get your tickets early. If there are tickets left, they will be available at the door.
Who benefits from this event?
Profits from this event will go to the Northern Haven Support Society. In the past, we have been able to donate about $3500 to local charities.
What time does the coffeehouse end?
We have 8 performers, each taking about 15 minutes, plus the silent auction. We expect this event to go until 9:00 or later.
Will there be an intermission?
Not technically, but during a coffeehouse, people get up, move around, buy drinks, bid on the auction, etc. And there are always little breaks while each performer gets set up.
